From the reviews
Great place! Very knowledgeable and friendly. I took my 1964 acoustic guitar there for repair and it sounds awesome! Very affordable. My new favorite store!!! Going to bring other old instruments of mine to them - I definitely trust them to fix them.
Top notch service and a great attitude! Recently had the need to have a couple of new guitars set up and I was impressed by the service. Fast, friendly and they did exactly as I asked. Had them price out some items I have been eyeing online while I was there and they were cheaper than the major online retailers.
We first came here because my daughter needed a violin for school orchestra, it's nice they have easy payment plan and option to rent or buy. We ended up returning the violin because around the same time she got the violin she also got a guitar. She likes playing the guitar more.
I am a professional musician and had a problem with my acoustic/electric 12 string as my high "A" kept breaking. I left it with them. Guitar Center would have charged $100. These guys charged me $5. I gave Brian $10. Problem solved. Brian is a better Luthier than the ones I had to hire!
Lessons at A Music Store On Main Street
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at A Music Store On Main Street. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
