What's on the wall
“Al did a great job protecting and refinishing my acoustic guitar that had some signatures on it.”
“I had a great experience with a refret for an old 1968 fender telecaster that I couldn’t really find anyone else that was willing (or able) to tackle it.”
“He's taken the average "run of the mill" ESP 415 Surveyor 5 string bass and made it into a "boutique bass".”
“My grandson is loving the vintage guitar I gave him now that Al got it sounding so good and working so well.”
“He installed new Delano pickups with two coil tap switches, wired them into my existing Aguilar obp3, fit and replaced the nut, and performed a killer setup with some fret rework.”

“Al worked on a vintage Gibson guitar that I was very nervous about trusting just anyone to work on.”

From the reviews
Stellar craftsmanship! I own a U2 Edge Signature Strat and was able to get The Edge to actually sign it. After speaking with several well known luthiers and guitar specialists in the DC region about how to protect the signature, all recommendations led to Al.
Al restored my '78 Gibson SG that I played in high school, given to me by my aunt. He repaired the gouged fretboard, installed new frets, gave it a new pair of Fralin PAF humbuckers with wiring, and repaired the pickguard. It plays and sounds awesome and looks fantastic.
Al's work is top notch! I had some issues with a gouge in the finish of my guitar, not only did he repair the damage the repair is nearly invisible. Al was refried to me by my regular tech who will be relocating.
Al's work is absolutely incredible! He shaved down and reshaped the neck of one of my Les Pauls that had a 50's neck to match my favorite Les Paul with a 60's fast neck. I could never have imagined how great it turned out. The shape is identical and the re-finish of the neck is perfectly matched. I'm blown away.
