I've played several basses in my 40+ years of playing music. I found Ben sitting in a booth at the Quincy, IL Makers' Market last autumn selling his guitars and basses. Although I had not planned on buying another instrument that day, I checked out one of his guitars and thought the tone was remarkable.
I custom ordered a BR Guitar from Ben and it plays beautifully and looks great. I'm already thinking I might need another one in a different color. He was a joy to work with and is truly a master of his craft. I would recommend you visit him in his shop as well.
Ben is a true craftsman. His work on 2 of my guitars was flawless as well as quick. I would 100% recommend his services to others. Ben was also kind enough to allow me to play several of the guitars that he has designed and built. You will not find a better price on this level of quality craftsmanship.
I have number 11 of the series. When I first saw his guitars I needed to see more and was invited to his shop. I have to say I was very impressed and placed an order that day.
