I brought my 1980 Sergio Peresson violin to Reed because it wasn't sounding like it used to. Reed checked it for open seams and determined that it needed a new soundpost. He said it took four different times for him to correctly fit the new soundpost he made.
Had a wonderful experience getting a new violin and bow here. Reed is very knowledgeable and clearly has great expertise. He offers a range of models and was very patient and helpful as I tested different ones out.
Our shopping experience at Bernstein Violins provided us with all we needed to make an informed decision on a new violin and bow for our GBYO member. This was the first of four shops where we trialed and this was where we returned to purchase a beautifully sounding violin and bow.
Just recently brought in my violin for Reed Bernstein to assess. It was in a bit of a mess where playability was greatly compromised. He had it playing better than ever in just a few days and charged me fairly, which is not often seen in Boulder in general.
