Over the years BlackCat Music Shop has remained the same, and I mean that in a very good way! It has a very friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and offers a great selection of brands that other local shops don't carry.
I’ve been to a lot of music shops in the US and have encountered a lot of owners along the way. Most are mediocre with an ego, very few are stellar. These guys are stellar. The shop is incredibly organized, clean, and the staff is attentive and friendly (including the 🐶).
Adam was tremendously helpful answering my questions, and he gave me a free adaptor!!! He spent plenty of time with me, and seems to really enjoy his work. I only wish I were in need of drum lessons--I'd love to have them from him.
