I took my bass to Black Dog Bass Works to have it appraised as I was preparing to possibly sell it. Greg gave me a fair appraisal, but also noticed several flaws in the bridge and nut, and my strings were nearly twelve years old. All these things combined made the bass less than ideal to play.
Great little shop specializing in upright basses. The owner, Greg, is nice and insightful and his shop dog, Pepper, is as sweet as can be. Lots of basses to try out if you’re getting a quick adjustment, and Greg is down to chat it up about basses and music. Love this shop for the KC music community.
Great experience buying 1st bass. Owner sat down took time to go over what we needed we never felt rushed. In the end we bought a beautiful instrument my daughter was very happy.
