From the reviews
Popped in for some guitar picks. There were not any other customers in the store yet, so had a chance to talk with the staff. The store itself is clean, well organized and well stocked. The staff was very knowledgable, friendly, helpful and fun!
This is absolutely my favorite music shop EVER 😍 They don't have the biggest selection of stuff, but they always have everything I want. Some of my favorite gear, including my guitar stack, pedals, and my cymbals came from here! The staff is always friendly and always willing to help!
Great place. Always has everything I need, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. If they somehow don't have something, they can order it. Very good selection of fingerstyle acoustic guitars, Breedloves seem to be tough to find in Kalamazoo.
I came in wanting to get my strings replaced. I was very happy walking in. The lady at the counter was very nice and took the time to help me find the strings I wanted. She fixed the strings, the tunning peg, and the volume knobs. She also mentioned there is someone who does more complex repairs.
Lessons at Broughton Music Center
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Broughton Music Center. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments on hand for exactly this reason.
