From the reviews
The best!! Mr. Marlow was recommended to us by my daughter’s guitar and ukulele teacher, to repair her Fender guitar. I dropped it off on a Thursday, and it was ready by Saturday morning. Not only was it beautifully fixed, it was even tuned! My daughter is SO excited to have it back, sounding better than even.
Chris was very knowledgeable about my daughters 1920’s trumpet. He was able to bring it back to life coming out of storage, during pickup he was easy going and worked with my daughter to adjust mouthpieces as well as full test of the instrument . Highly recommend!!
I brought in my acoustic Dean guitar with a completely broken bridge—the kind of damage where the bridge had cracked and split right in the middle. Worse, the model is long discontinued, so finding a replacement bridge (or even a close match) was impossible. I honestly thought I’d have to trash the guitar.
Mr. Chris Marlow is the only person I’ll let work on my various vintage saxophones (altos, tenor and baritone) and he has also done work on other instruments in our household (flute overhaul, violin repairs). I can directly attest to the consistently high quality of his work.
Lessons at Christopher Marlow music instrument repair service
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Christopher Marlow music instrument repair service. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
