Ed set up my js1000 and it basically plays itself now. Very knowledgeable and friendly guy to deal with. I would also add that he finished the job in a quarter of the time it took me to have the same thing done elsewhere. I would highly recommend taking your stringed instruments to him if you need any work done.
For years at Saratoga Guitar was a guitar tech named Ed and it was where I brought my guitars for set ups, repairs etc. His work was always excellent and I had super confidence in my instruments after his great work.
Ed is literally the best in the world at what he does. I live in NYC, and I drive up to his shop, 3+ hours in one direction, because I don't trust anyone else with my instruments (and there is no shortage of guitar techs and luthiers in nyc). Anything from basic repairs, to fully custom-built guitars, Ed is your guy.
Ed is a knowledgeable craftsman who has all the skills to put your strings in the perfect place to make your music sound right again. My experience with him was top notch. Made my guitar fret with balanced intonation and action. A perfect set up for my personal taste. I highly recommend him.
