From the reviews
Mr. Cremer gets my highest recommendation. Brought in a 64 Gibson B-45 12 string thinking I needed new tuners - as the instrument did not stay in tune. Mr. Cremer quickly diagnosed that it was not my tuners, and that I needed three new frets. Turned out that he was exactly right.
I have known Rick Cremer for quite sometime. I use to visit his shop downtown Aurora when I was a teenager. Now I am 59 and I still love to browse his shop and tap his knowledge about anything guitar. I am working on becoming a guitar tech and eventually a Luthier.
Rick has been a staple of my guitar playing needs for years. I've bought guitars and amps from him and had tons of work done. I've never once been dissatisfied. If you're looking to buy or have a repair done, I can't recommend anyone more than Rick Cremer.
Rick is awesome! brought in my guitar for a saddle and adjustable cradle I was having a hard time getting a replacement for and he was able to get me setup in just a few minutes. He knows his craft, friendly, expert Luthier and great to talk to about guitars.
Lessons at Cremer Guitarworks
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Cremer Guitarworks. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments on hand for exactly this reason.
