As a violinist running a violin YouTube channel, and the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series, I take instrument selection seriously, and Custom Strings is where I found mine.
Great little shop. We've been customers for a few years after a recommendation from a friend and instructor. Couldn't be happier. No nonsense. Dont try to upsell on stuff you dont need. Good quality product for a reasonable price. Setup is excellent. My boy loves playing his cello from Custom Strings Spokane.
Wonderful experiences here. Jay helped my son find a viola that sounded the way he liked the best, irregardless of price. I’ve always had great experiences purchasing strings or other supplies here for myself as well. The two shop dogs are a bonus - I always love to see them!!
I had a violin that I needed looked at to see if any repairs had to be done although there are issues that will need to be addressed in the future he is willing to look at it, at no charge, every couple months to let us know when it is time to fix it. He was very helpful and knowledgeable in how to care for the violin.
