My older Fender Jazz Bass from the '90s was my go-to bass for years, but the frets were in such rough shape that it couldn't cut it for gigs anymore. I'd gotten quotes from a few luthiers in the South Bay, but some were hesitant to work on it since it has a bound maple neck with a high-gloss finish – a tougher repair…
Always on the lookout for a good local luthier, I was excited to hear that dB Limit had opened in Belmont. I eagerly brought in my Tele for a thorough check and professional set up. All I can say is WOW! Jim took the time to welcome me into his shop and immediately made me feel comfortable.
Jim is the man, and his shop is great! It was exciting to see a guitar shop open up in Belmont a couple months back, and I immediately stopped by to check it out. I ended up having a great chat with Jim and decided to bring some guitars in for setups.
I had my Gibson Lucille restored and setup here. They did a super job, it sounds amazing.
