What's on the wall
“I guess I won't dock their rating for this, but my request to be taught to play the bass with my teeth was heartily rejected.”
“- About the only negative I can think of is that their selection of guitar pedals is somewhat thin.”
“They have a good selection of both new and used instruments and can order anything they don’t have in stock.”
“If you need repairs or equipment in eastern Oregon, there’s no better place.”
“In addition to all the usual products and services, they also offer lessons in various instruments and host an open-house 'jam session' from time to time too.”
“a good inventory of woodwinds, brass, violins, drums, guitars and bass guitars and even a nice harmonica selection.”

Good people, you can get what you need or it can be ordered for you...a large space with lesson rooms and a stage as well....this store services players of all skill levels and you can take lessons here as well...
I love direct music source there very nice and awesome people that run it and i like all of the guitars and guitar amps they have its always nice when you walk in there and i would recommend to anyone out there to go to direct music source you will have a blast
I have bought 3 instruments here and am very happy with them. Good pricing and selection and the two guitars I bought are very high quality for their price point. They honestly both look, feel, and play like and intrument in the $1k+ range even though they were less than half of that.
I don't know if I just went there on a bad day but I needed some guitar strings and I have run the same ones for years. I went in there an the guy working there told me that my favorite strings aren't any good and refused to sell me them and had me buy the ones that he liked.
Lessons at Direct Music Source
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Direct Music Source. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
