I am a beginning guitarist and, having reached the point of tackling barre chords, finally had to spend the money to have my electric guitar 'setup.' I have known Doug since he was the in house Luthier for the now defunct Sam Ash Music Store in Cincinnati / Tri-County, Ohio. One thing to know in advance, Doug is in high demand. I know of clients who have brought rare guitars worth a small fortune for his level of expertise in properly caring for every detail.
Doug is a wizard. There’s little else to say, and really little need to as his reputation precedes him. I found Doug through a Reddit post where one user said “I drive two hours each way and won’t like anyone else touch my guitars” or something like that. They were right.
