Went in this afternoon looking for an acoustic guitar. They had a great variety of brands priced from the $400.00 range to several thousand. We ended up going with a great looking Taylor acoustic. Both salesmen were very helpful, honest, and didn't try to push anything on us.
UPDATE 3: It's been a year, and if you need any other reason to support a local business... They just special ordered a left-handed Taylor T5z for me and I didn't have to get them to match an online price, because the price they offered me was already about $250 cheaper than any legitimate online price I found.
When I found that my old Kalamazoo Epiphone was in need of some special "love" I began to look for a luthier who would know what they were doing as this had been a gift from my late husband back when we got married in the early 70's.
I Purchased a Kamaka ukulele from Avenue Guitars (Tejon Street Music) about 1.5 years ago and I needed some assistance as a string was binding, and I had a couple of frets that needed some attention. Brought in my Ukulele and the problems was resolved. Better than new!!!
