“If you don't know, Elderly, along with George Gruhn in Nashville and Normans Rare Guitars in LA, were the original hubs of the vintage guitar market.”
“Part of the affordability involved a trade-in, which was more efficient, amiable, and reasonable than any I've experienced locally.”

From the reviews
I had a tenor banjo that belonged to my grandfather who passed away in 1939. It didn't seem very honoring to him to have it continue to deteriorate in storage and I know next to nothing about old instruments. I took it to Elderly Instruments with the hope they could help.
Elderly is still my "go to" local music store after 30 years! I have never found a better selection of Resophonic guitars and banjos as well as gear. Elderly used to be the only place you could buy a new Scheerhorn besides ordering it from Tim himself.
Definitely worth a visit, huge selection of acoustic guitars, ukes and steel guitars, and amps decent selection of electric guitars. Staff is always really nice and helpful, they will help buying for you or for buying a gift. Nice room to try out amps/guitars.
Very Atentive Team! Gave me a deal on the only Musicman in the house. The most unique guitar shop in the Country. I was there for 2 hours.
Lessons at Elderly Instruments
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Elderly Instruments. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments on hand for exactly this reason.
