Jimmy is an amazing piano instructor! He tailors the lessons to your learning style and abilities and is very encouraging and patient. He is well versed in music theory as well as technique and he explains complex concepts in easy to understand terms.
I take online piano lessons from Jimmy. His knowledge and expertise is amazing! I learn so much from him, and he incorporates music theory which helps me with reading music better; sometimes I'm disappointed when the lesson is over. It's been 35 years since I've played piano, but I've been able to catch on quickly.
My son has attended the Gem State Jazz Camp every summer since he was in middle school all the way thru high school. My son loves Jazz and he loves this camp! We also take private lessons thru Exodus Music/Jimmy Lawrence and our son is always happy and engaged!
