I held my engagement party at Factory Records on 12/29/22 in their private lounge and it was a hit! I worked with Ellen and Ethan who were both extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to our needs. The space is extremely unique and fun with a cool vibe.
Wow. Unbelievable selection of everything you could ever dream or imagine of. Came in searching for cassette tapes and they delivered. Tons of vintage. It's like walking into a time capsule. They have every cd, vinyl you could ever dream of.
Awesome place with a great environment and super friendly staff. Bought records, 8 tracks, and recently a record player/receiver/speaker system and have been happy with all my purchases.
Factory Records is a TOP-TIER record show (with cassettes and 8-track sales, as well). LOTS of inventory (new/used) and a terrific staff. Over that, the Lounge room is a blast! Be sure to check out the shop AND look at the Events Calendar for a fun night out!
Selling or trading gear at Factory Records Shop
Factory Records Shop comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
