Frank Neat Banjo Repair

Frank Neat is a treasure to the state of KY. He has built and repaired some of the finest instruments available in America. Has built instruments for some of the bluegrass legends. Sonny Osborne, Ralph Stanley and JD Crowe to name a few.

Frank made me a banjo in 1990. I still own it and three other professional quality banjos. Frank's banjo is always "right". Because of the fret spacing and quality of the banjo, it stays true up and down the neck every time. Last week I handed to a friend to pick.

Frank Neat is the best in the business bar none. In the early 1970's he rebuilt the neck on my old Mastertone which had been snapped into by two rambunctious kids. When he was finished you could not only tell the difference but it was made thinner to help my slides down the neck.

I just bought a Frank Neat raised head banjo. It plays like a dream and is bright, resonant and has plenty of volume. I played it in a jam for the first time yesterday and everyone was rightly impressed. This guy knows banjos!
