What's on the wall
From the reviews
Sat with my son while he went through ALL the pokemon cards for sale while an employee was servicing some video consoles. Had a great time chit chatting with him and my son about all the pokeman stuff that I have no clue about whatsoever. Lol. Learned a lot, had a great time.
The employees at the store were very helpful. We had purchased a Nintendo 64 from the Nacodoches location and when we got it home, it would not power on. Took it to the location in Palestine and the exchange process couldn't have been easier. This is how a company should be run.
Best (only) retro game store around. Decent selection of games and consoles. Large used movie section. My biggest gripe about this place is some of the pricing (which I realize is done on a corporate level). Most things are reasonable, but one thing for example, a used wired Xbox 360 controller, $21.
This place is great for example; compared to Game Stop there are lower prices, the people working there are always so friendly, not to mention they sell movies as well. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone possible.
Selling or trading gear at Game X Change
Game X Change comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
