“I was hesitant to sell my Fender Jazzmaster after 65 years of ownership.”
From the reviews
Ben helped point me to an LG-2….1944 Banner…texted me additional pics and video of him playing using excellent mics and equipment. I was sold as soon as I heard that old Gibson woody tone. I just just received the box and opened Packing was the best of any shipped guitar I have ever seen! The guitar is AMAZING!
Absolutely excellent company to deal with. All my correspondence was with Jim Anderson. I was hesitant to sell my Fender Jazzmaster after 65 years of ownership. I hated parting with my guitar and Jim made the deal very pleasant avoiding a sad situation on my end. Jim made the transaction very smooth, pleasant and easy.
Top notch vintage guitars, service and integrity. I've had the pleasure of working with Gary on purchases since 2012. Man of his word and finds the cleanest and rare guitars. I trust him implicitly. Shout out to Ben for his friendship.
Selling or trading gear at Gary's Classic Guitars
Gary's Classic Guitars comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
