“In fact, I was able to purchase a Martin 00028 and a Fender American Performer Stratocaster at Grayson's for a fraction of the cost I would have paid at other music retailers.”
“A Bass Players review of Grayson’s I do not know why, but it seems like guitar shops all over LA are fully neglecting the Bass Guitar Category.”

From the reviews
A Bass Players review of Grayson’s I do not know why, but it seems like guitar shops all over LA are fully neglecting the Bass Guitar Category. Be it stocking useless instruments, understanding setup, or even talking about bass, it is almost as if shops have given up. Not Grayson’s.
When it comes to purchasing musical instruments, the experience can often make or break the joy of acquiring a new piece. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Grayson's Music, a local music store that left me thoroughly impressed with their outstanding service and competitive pricing.
I visited LA to see a friend and decided to hit a bunch of guitar shops for fun. I was super impressed with Grayson’s. Well organized, very well stocked, and the staff was super friendly. They weren’t pushy at all and let us do our thing.
I recently purchased a fender ultra luxe vintage telecaster online from Grayson’s. The price was great and the guitar delivered was absolutely top notch! It’s just incredible; every thing about it is perfect.
Selling or trading gear at Grayson's Tune Town
Grayson's Tune Town comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
Lessons at Grayson's Tune Town
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Grayson's Tune Town. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments on hand for exactly this reason.
