From the reviews
Went in to play a Martin. The price tag looked like $599.00. So I made an offer. Guy behind the counter said it was $999.00. So I offered $800.00 out the door. Guy behind the counter goes into this monolog on how difficult it is to find these guitars and such. I say, "I'm finding it hard to feel sorry for you".
I can not recommend the Guitar Shoppe enough! I have brought in every one of my guitars (electrics & acoustic) to have serviced (including a neck crack repair), and their work is second to none! Everyone that I have interacted with has been incredibly friendly and professional, creating a welcoming environment.
New to the guitar game but found myself searching for an acoustic after my brothers passing. Went to a couple BIG stores and lack of inventory was disappointing. Took a shot in the dark and stopped by The Guitar Shoppe...so glad I did. Surprisingly more selection of acoustic than stores 5 times their size.
If it had a little more available customer service, it would be one of the great guitar stores in SoCal. Awesome acoustic selection though. From VERY high end to boutique to working class Taylor and Martin, Guild and Gibson.
Lessons at Guitar Shoppe
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Guitar Shoppe. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments on hand for exactly this reason.
