What players say again and again
“Got an acoustic guitar set up by them and it plays beautifully now with way better action, and got good advice on string choice as well.”
“They are very helpful and knowledgeable, and unlike the sales people at guitar center they aren't pushy and no one tries to sell you an extended warranty.”
“I took lessons here 15yr ago, and decided to go back for jazz lessons last year… excellent teachers! Great selection of guitars including some extremely cool student models.”
“They have a very broad and very nice selection of quality instruments, that are quite affordable.”
From the reviews
Brought my Tom delonge signature in for warranty work; the low e was basically falling off the fretboard. I dropped it off on a Saturday; They had it done the following Monday. The repair was great and the team there was amazing and friendly. If I lived closer to Boston, I’d be visiting this place more often.
I love this small business. I've been taking my guitars and banjos there for years, for regular set up, for servicing. I've bought instruments, music books, accessories and taken lessons. The owners are always knowledgeable and helpful, never pushy.
Guitar stop is a really cool place! It's very much a local business which I love and the people there are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the gear they are selling. I've bought two guitars from them and was very pleased! Highly recommend!
Me and my band absolutely love Guitar Stop. We love supporting a small family owned local business. And the customer service is out of this world! Everyone is so knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!!!
Lessons at Guitar Stop ®
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Guitar Stop ®. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
