The reviews by Mark and Gil (whom I don't know) hit the mark. I recently took my 1966 Martin 000-28 to Alex after I noticed some troublesome signs on the body below the bridge. It turned out that the guitar had been repaired at some point in its past by a slob who did almost unimaginable damage.
Alex recently repaired two banjos for me - one was made from a walnut salad bowl with a tack head and nylon strings - the neck had separated from the pot and Alex managed to put it back together better than ever I’m so happy to have this banjo playing again The other is my main banjo, a short scale Vega little wonder…
Alex is a master. He worked on and repaired my Martin d35 with expert craftsmanship. He genuinely cares about your guitars. If you want to save money and give your guitar to somebody or store who couldn't care less this is not the luthier for you.
Alex is the very best. He did superb work on my guitars, one of which I had almost given up on ever sounding and playing the way I wanted. After Alex fixed it I was in guitar heaven!
