I was loyal to Down Home Music growing up in Oakland Maine. Left the state for many years and returned to find it turned into J&H music where I used to rent VHS tapes. Couldn’t be happier to know the staff is still going.
Excellent selection of new and used guitars and basses. They have a huge selection of awesome Acoustic guitars. They also do repairs on guitars and basses and lessons. I've personally had them work on my guitars and my bass guitars. I currently own an electric guitar and 3 bass guitars that I purchased from them.
Yet another great experience with J&H!! I was refered to these guys by a different guitar shop south of J&H that could not do the work that I needed. That speaks volumes (like 11 on a 10 scale)
J&H is the absolute best music shop in Maine. I recently brought my Les Paul in for some work and Jeff listened to my concerns, made recommendations, and ultimately made my guitar a significantly better instrument with a hand cut bone nut and full setup.
