This is a great shop. There are some businesses that aren’t purely transactional. Luthiers are artists that develop a relationship with your instrument and work with it to make it sound the best that it can.
J is great. He is a true artist and great conversationalist. Very affordable. Through care on his craft! Had my electric P bass pickups replaced, neck straightened (lowered action) and clean up & reglue frets. Tuned up and sounds great!
I didn’t know more than what instrument that I had and that I had a broken string. The owner took care of me and not only sold me a single string for a VERY reasonable price, but he also installed it and tuned it for me. He insured that my other strings were also in tune.
This is a very late rating. I went to the shop in June of 2019, looking for a G-string. Obviously this was not a large purchase, but the staff treated me like I was purchasing a $10,000 instrument. Since this was for a “new to me” ukulele, I knew nothing.
