I have been a customer of Jimmy Z for not quite a year now. However, his work and service are impeccable. With a 100 percent trust in his skills, I absolutely will not take my guitars anywhere else. I recently purchased a Fender Squire (used) that was "setup" , by another luthiere and I have found flaws in its service.
I bought this MIJ Fender Stratocaster in about 1990 and she’s been with me the whole way. Played hard. So, when it was time for those old worn out frets and nut to be replaced there was only one person I wanted to work on her; Jimmy!
Brought my 30 year old Martin in to see what Jamie could do do address some fret buzz and tone issues I was having. A new bridge and nut later with some adjustment of string height and WOW does it sound amazing! Jamie knows his stuff. Super appreciative and VERY satisfied!
Jimmy was great to deal with! Great commucation and a truly skilled craftsman. Was gracious enough to show me some of his workshop. Will definitely be returning someday, hopefully to pick up one of his beautiful handmade guitars.
