From the reviews
I just bought a brand new Martin from another guitar store a couple of weeks ago. They said they would set it up for free. I was told by a few people that instead I should bring my guitar to Tom because he's going to do a much nicer job.
I had a very odd and uncommon break within the neck of an old G series Takamine. I bought it new in 2000, so there was some sentimental value. The neck broke against and with the grain of the wood in both the neck and the headstock. However, nothing "broke off".
Two years ago I purchased a nice Taylor (a 2003 214--Made in USA and all solid) online through Reverb. It arrived with the neck snapped in half. Fortunately, the seller had it fully insured, so I was refunded 100% and he told me to keep the guitar.
My guitar hadn't had a decent setup for a very long time, and so being new to the area, I searched online and found Jacobs close by. I decided to take it there, and I'm glad I did. Everyone I've interacted with there has been extremely kind and respectful to me, and it's obvious they take the work very seriously.
