My husband, who is a professional guitarist thought I should throw my.mother's guitar out. Bill fixed it and sounds beautiful. I used to carry my mother's guitar for her when she taught at Andrews School For Girls. It is so wonderful to sing and play songs she wrote . It was unplayable before he fixed it.
Bill Jancar cleaned up this mandolin in a way that I never thought possible. It was my father’s and he had taken it to a number of luthiers who all said it was irreparable. So it just sat around the house in a sad state of disrepair for decades. Until I decided to find a luthier myself.
So I bought a wildwood Gibson Les Paul 59 and the flame is absolutely gorgeous. One day into owning it and I dropped my phone on the flame top and left a nasty ding. Bill repaired it immaculately and had a very reasonable turnaround time, especially involving nitro lacquer.
Bill is top notch. I’ve taken 3 different guitars to Bill for varying levels of work and he has done a great job each and every time - most recently on my Martin D41 which sounds better than it ever has.
