From the reviews
I'm a drummer. Have for 20yrs. I had no Idea what to expect when I noticed this little music shop. I walked in for the first time a month or so ago. Talked with the owner. I went back today with a Ukulele. Again I'm a drummer. Had no idea what I had. I asked if he would take it on trade.
10 yrs ago he helped my son and I pick out a nice Trumpet for band. Well now he has just helped my daughter pick hers as well. They even have lessons for, I believe, trumpeTrumpet, and Voice!!! ❤️!
He does great work setting up guitars, he's setup my Acoustic Guitar and he just setup my Fender Telecaster Player II which was unplayable when I got it new and it's now my favorite guitar I've ever had after he just adjusted the action (neck) it sounds amazing.
I love this shop, I always stop in and say hi. I recently got my violin repaired, and it's basically brand new again. I bought some other supplies all high quality and not super expensive. They also do lessons here, which is always an upside. No complaints whatsoever.
Selling or trading gear at Keifer's Music Instrument Repair & Sales
Keifer's Music Instrument Repair & Sales comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
