I brought two classical guitars to Ryan for repair; a Jose Ramirez 4NE cedar (which is irreplaceable) and a Hermanos Camps CL-18 in spruce. The Ramirez needed an aesthetic repair after suffering a nasty ding on the soundboard. The Camps had a buzz from a raised fret.
LA Guitar Repair. So far, so good. Ryan is very friendly, as is his man, Matthew, who also gets things done. It is a short distance from my house, too. I took my guitar in today; updates are to come when I get my guitar back. Stay tuned. ....Here's my update. Ryan is some kind of wizard.
i brought in a 25yo Japanese black Fender Telecaster, It had a big dent on one side (we could see the wood) and a few scratches.After spending a few weeks at the shop, my guitar is now looking exactly the same as when i bought it, brand new.
Ryan did a neck replacement on my strat using a WD neck I supplied. The WD neck is a licensed fender neck, so it is what it is, but the install was spot on with the fret prep that was done, along with the nut, action, and intonation work, which was stellar!! The guitar has never felt better or easier to play!
