I always like to check out the Mom & Pop guitar shops when I'm in a new city. Lafayette Music Company is just the kind of guitar shop that I like. They have a nice selection of guitars that cover a wide price range. So, from school instruments to the high-end professional models, both new and used, guitars and amps.
Excellent selection and service. All the top manufacturers with the most knowledgeable and talented staff. Perfect for a budding musician, and everything a road worn musician could ask for. In house service for numerous emergency repairs, and a full service shop in Lafayette for more extensive happenstances.
I have had several very satisfactory experiences here…and found the prices comparable (except for Lake Charles ridiculously high sales tax) competitive with the big box stores and internet sites- plus they knocked the price down on the 3 guitars I purchased here enough to more than compensate for the local taxes.
