When nearby definitely visit this establishment that makes amazing guitars. I especially am impressed with their 12 string acoustical flat top manufacturing. This is a very difficult type of instrument to make because of the stress of 12 strings on the tone wood face of the instrument.
Just purchased a Larrivée D-40r this week. It’s the finest instrument I’ve ever played, yet owned. I watched a few YouTube videos about Jean’s craftsmanship & was sold on getting a guitar from him.
30 years ago, I was in Winnipeg CA and went to a shop that sold Larrivee's. I fell in love with the guitars and wanted to buy one for a long time. I had heard they were made in Canada, Quebec at one point and Vancouver later. 25 years later, living in Santa Barbara I was surprised to learn they had moved to Oxnard.
Bought my OMV-05E back in 2003. Guitars costing twice as much don't sound half as good. It speaks for me.
