Settling in at their new location right in the middle of the downtown strip in Plainfield! Amazing staff, great vibe inside, awesome lighting and decor.. got this totally rad quasi industrial modern art studio thing going on! Great selection of new and used records in all genres for all ages and tastes..
This was a very well organized record shop. I also appreciated that there was some thought on what they took in, so you didn't have to dig and dig to find the treasure. That is just my personal preference (my husband is a digger) it was clean and smelled nice, and the staff were super friendly.
One of the most top notch, high quality and by far the best variety in all of your vintage music fetishes. This store is ran by one of the most chillest dudes ever and I wouldn’t change one thing about left round. ROCK AND ROLLL!!!
Great record store with competitive prices. Large record, CD, and cassette selection. Plus, they also have a t-shirt section with really nice vintage band shirts. Buy local…!
Selling or trading gear at Left 'Round Records
Left 'Round Records comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
