We met Derick in person at his future new shop, he had 5 guitars displayed and ready for me to try out (by appointment only for now). I wanted to take them all home with me, ended up taking an outstanding Larrivee 000-60. I still can't believe how magnificent this guitar sounds and feels.
Just bought a nice Gibson ES335 from Lovies. The guitar was as described (accurate) and very nice. On this one, someone had changed the pickups to Lollar low wind bridge and a Lollar P90 neck. It was also re-fretted but he assured me it was done by a reputable shop. (gave me the name I forget).
Derick was an absolute pleasure to work with! I found the guitar on Reverb, we messaged a couple times, made one phone call and worked out the details to ship out of state. Everything was easy, trusting and trustworthy, and I now have an absolutely stunning ESP Baritone Snakebyte that plays like a dream.
I bought a used Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster GT11 from Derek at Lovies Guitars. He was very helpful and spent some time talking with me about some of the specs I was unfamiliar with on this specific model Strat.
