I'm a professional musician, recent DMA from UM and had Mr. Galvez rehair and re-leather a couple of my bows, make two new bridges, and fix up some regular maintenance and fingerboard planing on my century old violin and bow and modern viola and I'm very happy with the results.
My son’s Cello professor mentioned his Cello needed a tune up and I started looking for a luthier nearby. Mr. Gálvez’s reviews were all positive except for one, but the gentleman that made that bad review didn’t review Mr. Gálvez’s work, instead he gave him a 1 star review because he believed Mr.
Massimo Galvez is an esteemed and professional violist, luthier and teacher. Words can not express the gratitude I have for him and all he has done for me as a student and violin owner. The restorations and repairs on my violins and bows are truly impressive, the sound that my violins now produce is spectacular.
I just purchased a violin here at Luthier Galvez and I absolutely love the violin and Luthier’s professional service. I went to many places and they all tried to over charge me except Luthier. He is very honest, professional, and knowledgeable.
