I was in town for a gig on Saturday and realized last minute that I’d forgotten my reeds—classic, right? I had only the one on my mouthpiece. In a bit of a panic, I Googled music stores in the Metro Detroit area, and Marshall Music popped up. I called them, hoping they'd have what I needed, and sure enough, they did.
Jennifer is great! We dropped off our violin and bow to see about getting it repaired. Jennifer took them and put in a request for cost to repair. About a week later, we had not heard anything, so we called back.
Coming up on my 15th year playing trumpet, I have been going here for quite a while after I transitioned to high school back in the day, and will say I am still thoroughly impressed by the level of instrument repair and maintenance available compared to other services in the region.
Great company to buy and rent instruments from. The instrument rental comes with repair and service. If you’re renting for a school aged kiddo, they have direct relationships with many schools in the area to make it convenient for families. You could also find some really cool gifts for music lovers in your life here.
