Montero Violins is the best possible shop for stringed instruments. Mike Montero is a truly gifted musician, teacher and luthier. So lucky to have Montero locally.
We visited today to look at violins and bows fo my daughter. Mike is a gifted musician and just a delight to be with. You can tell he truly enjoys the instruments and they respect them as well. His shop in Stroudsburg PA is a very warm and inviting place and Mike makes it an extremely relaxed atmosphere.
I take viola lessons with Mike and couldn’t be happier. I’ve had several different teachers over the years, some good and some not so good. Mike is by far the best fit, most knowledgeable and helpful.
Mr. Montero is very knowledgeable, a very nice person, and super patient and entertaining with the kids! He replaced the strings of our son's violin. He showed my kids the very complex piece he was practicing, the violin he was making, the cello he was repairing, his daughters arts, etc.
