“The staff is interested in helping me enjoy my hobby my way, instead of pushing me to buy a guitar or amp that suits their musical preference or just ignoring me.”
“They were quite busy while I was there and could have used an extra person at the checkout counter, but it wasn't a bad experience.”

From the reviews
Best experience ever! I found my dream guitar at another store but it sounded like garbage so I sadly walked away and tried to find another that caught my eye. I found my way to Mountain Rock Music and still couldnt get the crappy sounding guitar out of my mind.
I love this place!!! I've taken several guitars in for several repairs, and I have never seen anybody anywhere with such low guitar maintenance prices! Almost every repair I have had done cost half as much as anywhere else I've looked. The employees are super friendly and helpful.
By far, the best staff in the area. I have purchased instruments, gear, lessons, and service here. Whether I am just buying picks or buying a guitar or having a guitar serviced the service is amazing.
I've brought three separate guitars here to be serviced and have been beyond satisfied with the results of each one. If you need work done on the guitar tech here does a fantastic job and highly recommend this place. They also have a pretty good price on strings. Check em out!
Lessons at Mountain Rock Music
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Mountain Rock Music. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
