From the reviews
Once upon a time i was but a lowly dock worker with dreams of making it as a rockstar. I would spend nights strumming aimlessly on an unplugged SX guitar. "You'll never amount to anything!" My hideous wife, Sheila would bark at me and i began to believe it.
I wanted to start playing Electric Guitar but had no idea what to look for. I went to other places but the employees would just tell me to look around and ask them for help if needed (I was a little shy though because I'm new).
Paul Fredericks has been giving my 10 year old son guitar lessons (at Fairfield Music & Arts) for a year now and I am amazed at how well my son both picks up new techniques and reads music. Paul has uncovered a hidden talent in him! He is patient, thorough and my child loves working with him.
I would highly recommend John Fitzpatrick for guitar lessons, he’s great! John is my daughter’s teacher. He does acoustic and electric. She is always excited going to her lesson and John. He makes learning exciting and fun so she wants to practice everyday.
Lessons at Music & Arts
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Music & Arts. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
