I absolutely love this place. The employees have gone above and beyond to accommodate my 10 year old “bonus kid” explore the world of guitars as he saved up to make his FIRST purchase of an electric guitar. I’ve lost count of how many times they have set up an amp and let him jam out.
Stopped in when I was on tour last month, finally getting around to posting. A+ customer service all around from the team; he didn't hover, lurk, or annoy like most music store employees tend to do. Went in looking for strings and an OD pedal, left with an amp and a backup processor.
I ordered a guitar online from this location. Prior to ordering I called and had some questions and staff was happy to help. They did a thorough quality control check on my instrument prior to shipping and were communicative through the whole process. Guitar was packed well and in great shape when it got to me.
I've been here a few times since moving up and these folks are fantastic! I'm greeted when I walk in. The staff is very knowledgeable and helped me pick out quality XLRs and instrument cables. I've had repairs on my Dingwall bass done by Jacob and he knocked it out of the park!
Selling or trading gear at Music Go Round
Music Go Round comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
