What players say again and again
“The best set ups with a great turnaround and pricing.”
“It's a great option with fair prices, though you can't get too attached to anything, since the stock moves faster than my New Year's resolutions.”
“I found the staff to be pleasant and knowledgeable and the store is a great place to find the unexpected and unique.”
“After spending a great deal of time "Hunting" I had all but resigned myself to having to purchase it online.”
From the reviews
I was "Guitar Hunting" online for a somewhat specific guitar. I wanted to find a Jackson X-Series Soloist body painted "Rocket Red". I found them online at several places like Amazon and Sweetwater. I found many at stores and even pawn shops but nothing was locally available new. If I was going to spend nearly $800.
The only place I go. They’re so awesome. This is the music shop you want to go to. I’m a new guitar player and needed my strings changed for the first time. The two people at the shop were super nice and friendly. They answered all my questions and I had a lot.. they changed them for me too while showing me how.
I like their unique variety of instruments. I saw an assortment of different instruments including, but not limited to, a flute, a few different types of saxes, a couple of trumpets, and of course a ton of guitars, basses and amps. Kind of a smaller Music Go Round, but still a fun place to go. Thank you Music Go Round!
I purchased a few guitars from here. Sales staff is always very welcoming. I had an issue with my Kramer that required new pickup installation. Dominic did a really nice job on it. They were installed and it was ready to play in just a few days. It sounds great. Thanks for all the help to find what I needed Dominic.
Selling or trading gear at Music Go Round Minnetonka
Music Go Round Minnetonka comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
