What's on the wall
“Came here to restring my guitar; it was great: the staff were friendly, helpful, and informative about how an acoustic guitar works and the process of fixing it.”
“The world sadly lacks in good music shops where you can go check out an instrument, find sheet music, take lessons, and get instruments repaired.”
“They also offer instrument( piano, woodwind, string, etc) learning classes with instructors at their shop in both locations.”
“Recently I had to take my alto saxophone in since the neck tightening screw broke.”

“The people at Music Village have always been kind, efficient, and knowledgeable, even when I bring in obscure instruments like the Philippine Harp Bandurria.”

From the reviews
The staff are amazingly supportive, understanding, and helpful! Music Village is a safe place for all musician needs! The renting process is easy and straightforward, NO NONSENSE! Every time I visit, I want to stay and hang around! They even have karaoke nights! I want to bring my children as it’s family friendly!
The world sadly lacks in good music shops where you can go check out an instrument, find sheet music, take lessons, and get instruments repaired. Note I said "good", and that leaves out the giant mega guitar store with their bad attitude matches by bad service.
Music village has been my go to place for all my music instrument needs. I have been frequenting this place for the last 10 over years ( mostly their Santa Teresa store and their union avenue store few times). Recently I had to take my alto saxophone in since the neck tightening screw broke.
best customer service experience . i went.in today with a old violin...the guy who helped me was extremely knowledgeable as he helped me.pick.out.a bow and a chin rest. he tuned my violin and educated me about many aspects of my instrument .
Lessons at Music Village
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Music Village. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
