From the reviews
Great record shop, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've never been upstairs for the movie theater but I'm told it's a good time and they let you bring in outside food
Love this place! My first time in here was a few weeks ago. Bought a cool record for $2.50. Even if you don't buy anything it is fun to just walk around and look at everything. The people were pretty friendly too. They have cd's, records...and fun vintage stuff..check it out, you won't be disappointed!
Good record store with knowledgeable staff. Some how this place doesn’t have some genres, specifically metal. While I was a bit disappointed with that I still came out with a few good cds and vinyls. Very clean and always welcoming. I definitely recommend!
Best record store on this side of the northeast coast! Tons of LPs CD'S cassettes, they even have 8track tapes! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about all kinds of music. They have new vinyl releases.
Selling or trading gear at Mystery Train
Mystery Train comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
