While visiting Newport RI, I needed new strings and a tuneup on my acoustic Martin X Series Special. It was in good hands with Colin, the manager. He offered good suggestions on strings and how to bring out the best sound. You’re lucky when you find someone knowledgeable who really cares about your guitar.
The staff were so helpful and patient with the thousands of questions I asked. No up selling and gave great recommendations for help with repairing my instruments. The Newport store is smaller than the New Canaan and geared towards guitars but they still know tons about everything and will take care of you.
Friendly folks and a good selection of new guitars/amps/accessories. Spoiler alert....some awesome vintage equipment in the wings. 😃
