I found Bill in a Google search, after my Acoustic Alvarez Jumbo guitar took a fall and the high E string starting buzzing on Frets 13/14. I dropped it off with him last week, along with a new set of strings. He called me on Wednesday to let me know it was ready. I picked it up yesterday.
I cannot say enough good things about Bill at Old Dog Guitar! My beloved 13-year-old Martin had become virtually unplayable—the action was sky-high and even the quarter-inch jack had fallen into the body.
Bill does outstanding work at a reasonable price. Very friendly and honest, with a quick turnaround. I have brought two of my guitars to him already and will continue to do so for the rest of them. Replaced the bridge pickup in my beloved strat and set it up to perfection. I would easily recommend him to anybody.
My wife had a Epiphone PR-150 that had a high action. Bill was great in explaining his plan of attack to remedy the issue, and did a great job in sanding down the saddle to lower the action and make the guitar WAY more enjoyable to play. He knows his guitars very well and I intend on taking my LP to him as well!
