This is a great music store for which the proceeds support the school. I was looking for a new acoustic with pickups in late October. The staff at the store were helpful in narrowing down to guitars in my price range that met my criteria.
We stopped in during the annual Folk Festival which is also highly recommended. The store and the the school where it is house is an experience. There is so much history there and weather sheet music guitar or ukulele a violin or another instrument you're interested in, they have a great selection.
Wonderful buying experience. Very nice , friendly and professional staff. Excellent quality instruments. Very competitive prices and fast shipping. I purchased a Pisgah banjo 11” pot, short scale. They were the only ones that had this in stock. I feel very fortunate to have it. Great banjo by the way.
As a player of various stringed things for 30 years and collector of unique but affordable guitars, this is hands-down my favorite shop in the city. I've also found many delightful instruments for my kids here that I've not seen anywhere else.
