What players say again and again
“I’m so grateful to have a local record store in Lincoln city and the owners are so kind!”
From the reviews
This place is very dear to my heart and I recommend it to anyone and everyone. The only problem with Output Records, as far as I can see, is that the selection is so beyond excellent, the staff so kind and helpful, and the pricing so exceptionally reasonable, that you will begin to walk into other record stores with…
This is a really classy little record shop! I stopped in during my vacation and found a couple of great records and a Glenn Danzig Samhain action figure for my man cave back at home. Surprisingly good selection in such a small space, loved it and will make it a point to come back when I visit Lincoln City again!
This awesome store deserves ALL THE STARS!!! Great vinyl selection, new and old. Plus turntables, plus music equipment, PLUS COOL GIFTS!!! Pretty awesome, clean concept. Would.love to have this store in my town, but will visit everytime that we can.
On my first visit to Outcast Records I was looking for some psychedelic rock from the Jefferson Airplane. After checking the inventory the worker said that the only Jefferson Airplane LP they had was After Bathing at Baxter’s. That happened to be the LP I was looking for.
Selling or trading gear at Output Records
Output Records comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
