“That didn't turn out to be the case, but I did end up finding several used records and a couple sealed records new and original, so it was a worthwhile trip overall.”
“Will have to try him as a luthier as well, which seemed to be maybe half the business.”

“I'm not hugely knowledgeable in those genres but from what I can tell, the selection is broad and deep from a number of eras.”
From the reviews
Great store in the middle of nowhere. I made the drive from IL on rumor that a massive collection had been bought and prices were low. That didn't turn out to be the case, but I did end up finding several used records and a couple sealed records new and original, so it was a worthwhile trip overall.
So I've been going here for a bit now. I've purchased almost my entire collection from this beauty of a shop. Fair prices. Freaking huge selection. Rare heavy vinyls. Beautiful guitars! Truly a must visit if you're in the area or even visiting the state. The best record shop around in my opinion.
Nice shop, clean and well curated. Best in the area for sure. Beautiful display of guitars adds an inviting ambiance for musicians.
The elite half of Watertown’s Main Street record-store double-header (see also Fox Music). There is plenty of top quality vinyl to search through in multiple genres. This place has among the nicest selection of used records a shopper will find and many new, recent releases.
Selling or trading gear at Paramount Record Shop
Paramount Record Shop comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
